Dès
l'âge de 15 ans Adrian Smith quitta l'école pour réaliser son rêve le
plus chère...formé un groupe de musique rock! Adrian fit ses débuts avec
Dave Murray et quelques autres amis et forma le groupe Evil Ways qui dura
2 ans(1972-1974). Ensuite il eut un groupe nommé Urchin (1974-1980). Le
groupe dût se bâtir une réputation. C'est durant cette période qu'il signa
avec la compagnie de disque DJM Records. Grâce à cette entente, Adrian
fit 2 singles et une tournée de 2 ans en angleterre. Mais voyant que le
groupe n'avançait pas il quitta pour faire une brève apparition avec le
groupe Broadway Brats (1980). C'est en octobre 1980 qu'il devient membre
du groupe Iron
Maiden ! Adrian remplace Denis Stratton à la guitare. Durant l'année 1989,
Adrian enregistra un premier album solo avec des anciens membres du groupe
Urchin. Ensuite il forma un groupe nommé Untouchables (1992) qui devint
Psycho Motel. En 1997 il se joignit à Bruce Dickinson pour 2 excellents
disques. Adrian revient avec Iron
Maiden le 10 février 1999 accompagné du chanteur Bruce Dickinson. |
